Ekonomi makro atau makroekonomi adalah studi tentang ekonomi secara keseluruhan. Makroekonomi menjelaskan perubahan ekonomi yang memengaruhi banyak rumah tanggan (household), perusahaan, dan pasar. Ekonomi mikro meneliti bagaimana berbagai keputusan dan perilaku tersebut memengaruhi penawaran dan permintaan atas barang dan jasa, yang akan menentukan harga, dan bagaimana harga pada gilirannya, menentukan penawaran dan permintaan barang dan jasa selanjutnya.
